Marco Santori was born in San Benedetto del Tronto in 1984, Marche region, Italy.

His family has been running a plant nursery in the near Grottammare for over fourty years so Marco has grown sorrownded by nature and plants.
In 2003, after high school, Marco starts University in Viticolture and Oenology in Teramo.
In 2006 he decides to move to Valencia, Spain, and spents one year studying at Universidad Politecnica Valenciana.
In 2007 Marco moves to King City in California for the harvest at the Monterey Wine Company.
In 2008 he comes back to Italy and graduates from the University of Teramo.
After his graduation he moves to France for the 2008 harvest to work at the Chateau L’Enclos, Pomerol in the Bordeaux area.
In 2009 Marco moves back to Italy and starts his own wine making project. His grandfather already owned 8 hectars of vineyard and his father had just bought an extra 6 hectars in the beautiful and ideal location of Ripatransone.
Only local grapes varieties, to exalt the territory and to give it the importance that it deserves. Passerina and Pecorino as white grapes, Montepulciano and Sangiovese as red grapes.

In 2012 the Winery was ready and the first harvest from Tenuta Santori comes to life.
In 2016 Marco begins a collaboration with Pierluigi Lorenzetti, one of the best known winemaker in the region.
In 2017 some of the most important wine guides in Italy start to show interest in Tenuta Santori and its wines. Gambero Rosso selected the Offida Pecorino, a vary traditional variety worked in a modern style to exalt the freshness and the body of this wine, by awarding it with their most important prize, Tre Bicchieri, and this award has been reconfirmed every year since.
In years to follow, many other prizes have been awarded to Tenuta Santori by Slow Wine Guide, Mondus Vini (Germany), International wine challenge (UK), International wine ratings (USA) and many others from all over Europe and Italy.

The philosophy is clear, organic certification of the farm, only autoctonal varieties coltivated, modern style wines, and at the same time preserving the best possible tradition.
In 2019 Marco adds a further 3 hectars of Pecorino and Sangiovese to his Vineyard. In the same year he starts renovating a very old farmhouse situated in the middle of his Vineyard and in 2021 was ready for use. A beautifully restored farmhouse that has kept all the original style, and inside offers a very modern and confortable living and an infinity pool that has the most amazing view.
Relais Tenuta Santori has been enjoyed by many guests since.
